Runeberg's cake
National poet J. L. Runeberg had for breakfast pastries in the form of a cylinder, made by the local confectionery. Porvoo inhabitants began to call them Runeberg's tarts. The tarts are still today for sale in several Porvoo cafés. Fredrika Runeberg's recipes - including Runeberg's tart - and household hints of that time can be found in Fredrika's recently published cook book. It is for sale in bookstores and in the Porvoo museum.
