Paddling is fun
With its magnificent archipelago and river, Porvoo makes a great place to go paddling. Paddlers can use city-owned beaches as stopping points.
In cooperation with the neighboring municipalities of Mäntsälä and Pornainen, Porvoo has mapped out the Mustijoki river paddling route. The river flows through three municipalities, and the scenery varies from fields to rapids and cultural landscapes. It's easy to bypass the rapids by carrying the boat past them.
The Porvoo River has also been mapped. The starting point for its course is Lahti, and it ends in downtown Porvoo, for a total length of about 90 kilometers.
